On Farm Growth Test (Phase D)

Before you can use the On Farm Growth Test (Phase D) input form, you must set up some defaults. Head to the Setup->Site Options page:

If this is the first time you are setting up, the default settings will be empty. If you press the blue “Set Defaults” text it will fill in some sensible starting numbers (as above).

Next, go to the Data Entry->On Farm Growth Test (Phase D) page:

Add a new group:

Use an Active Worksheet to limit the number of animals in the animal select box, or simply select the animals you want to be in the group. Give it a name, check the Start Date and the Test duration.

Note that the default settings will determine which animals are eligible to be included in the tests. If you select ineligible animals you will get an error like this:

Enter the “AdaptionWeight” and “StartWeight” for each animal. Once this is done, press “Process” to proceed.

Once the group is created, it will appear in the data entry screen. On subsequent weighings, you can enter the weights of the animals as they are further recorded:

Use the “New Weight” column to enter new body weights, don’t forget to update the Weigh date.

Press the “Results” button to bring up a chart and the progress of the animals:

The “Report” button will bring up a printable report of the progress:
